With the emergence of the social sites, the concept of social networking and user profile have formed. A user profile, sometimes referred to as an individual identity, is where one page includes all the information related to one user. Launched in the Spring of 2013, WEG2G come across the new concept of group profile or group identity. In this article, I highlight the essential differences between individual and group identities. Read "Thirty Features of WEG2G that One Should Not Miss" to learn about WEG2G.
Here you network with other individual users, upload your photos, post your info, and finally create your profile page. Your profile represents your hobbies, friends, favorite quotes, contact info, educations, website addresses, profession info, and more. In other words, when users view your profile page at one glance, they can understand a lot from you, your interest, and your personality.
Not only does WEG2G offer individual identity, but also it lets users form groups in sizes of two, three, and four members. Similar to what was mentioned for individual identity, a group profile page tells a lot about its group members, group purpose, group age, group gender, etc. Group profile defines what the group stands for, what activities they have, and what is their overall rating, how reliable they are (Read "WEG2G Group Reliability Index: How it Works" ), what others tell about the group, and what is the group history - or Group Timeline - (Read the "WEG2G Group Timeline: Essence And Beyond" article for more). Likewise, a group that is managed by a group lead, can have lots of plans (Read "G2G Plans: What Are They?" ) or appointments with the other groups. Thus, the group acts as a living being or a single body with a single purpose for existing.
WEG2G has shifted the concept of individual networking to group meet-ups and defined new arrays of possibilities in the social media. Once they become stable and popular, WEG2G is to deliver the next generation of social media where both individual and group identities co-exist.
