Review of top productivity tools that are essential for all system admins

Small to large companies have been using productivity tools like Microsoft Office for many years; however, nowadays due to global teams and remote collaborations, many of such tools are based in clouds. This article review three major tools for all system admins: cloud document management like Microsoft Office, cloud project management, and cloud data and file sharing.


The business operations of many companies have been transformed by cloud computing systems. For instance, two or three team members can work on a project memo at the same time like making changes or adding inputs simultaneously. Many companies use virtual conference meeting to exchange ideas and conduct business. In this article, we only focus on the following three major operation areas necessary for any size businesses: 1- document processing and management, 2- project management, and 3- cloud file sharing. For said 3 areas, we review both open source (free) and commercial productivity tools.
