ALOHA! And welcome to Hawaii. Arrive at any time in Kona on Big Island, then check in and enjoy the city. Please try to arrive before 9:30pm for an important group dinner meeting where we'll meet with our Tour Guide and other group members.

Today, we explore the Volcanoes National Park UNESCO World Heritage site. Specifically, we visit Volcanoes National Park, including the Thurston Lave tube and a Volcano Caldera from the Jagger museum, steam vents and Visitor center. After that, we heading south out of the Volcano to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach where we should see some Honu's the Hawaiian green sea turtle.

Next we drive to South Point the most southern point in the USA, the location the first Polynesians are thought to have landed over 1,000 years ago. Awesome sea cliffs ( will you jump ? )
We return to the hotel and enjoy the beautiful sunset at the evening.

Today we explore the Kona Coffee Farm. We start the Tour at one of Kona’s oldest coffee farms Greenwell Farms opened in 1850 and is still ran by the Greenwell family. The farm is on prime Kona coffee land and you will see coffee trees that are over 100 years old and see the whole coffee producing process from Tree to the Cup.

After that, we head south to Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. It is the most intact Pu'uhonua (native Hawaiian cultural site) . This park is without doubt the most significant Hawaiian Heritage site in all of the Islands. This is the Place A Place of Refuge, for those who broke the KAPU a second chance at life.

Today, we visit the Macadamia Nut farm. We tour an Organic Mac Nut farm run by a NUT my friend and soon to be yours Diane who is always fun and has a large collection of rescued animals and great Mac Nuts at JOES NUTS!

After that, we visit Kona Pacific Farmer’s Cooperative, the oldest and largest Kona Coffee Cooperative in the United States! Farmer owned & operated with 32 loyal farmer members specialize in Kona Coffee since 1910 and now process over two-million pounds of cherry per year. A great place for samples wonderful baked goods from the kitchen using the fruits harvested from the tropical fruit garden. The tropical fruit garden is great to tour with over 50 different fruit trees.

Today we visit the Kealakekua Bay where Captain Cook fell on Feb 14th 1779. We view Cook Monument from across Kealakekua Bay- a protected bay where the great British explorer met a violent death.

We then drive back thru Kona along Ali’i Drive while viewing the beaches resorts and fabulous homes.

Today, we explore the North West of Big Island. Specifically, we visit Lapakahi Park, Pololu Beach Lookout, Waipio Valley, Kukuihaele Mauna Kea Beach Park, and Makalawena Beach.

Today, we first stop at Rainbow Falls outside Hilo, then we drive the Historic Hamakua Heritage Coast fabulous sea cliffs, waterfalls and rain forest.

We then view the town of Hilo see where the 1946 and 1960 Tsunami's hit.
We then visit Liliuokalani Japanese Gardens 30 acres of splendor overlooking Hilo bay.

Today, we go to Pepeekoo Point to view Hilo in the distance from these majestic sea cliffs where you can see relics from the bye gone Sugar area where ships were once loaded with Sugar cane. Then, we continue to visit Pahoa, Kalapana, and Ahalanui.

At Pahoa, we visit the small Hawaiian town in the Puna district most recently threatened by the most recent Lava flow that began June 27th 2014. Stand next to the Lava that threatened the town in early 2015.

We then drive down to the Ocean front town that was Kalapana, Kaimu and Kaim? Bay 178 homes were buried under 50 feet of Lava from the 1986 Kilauea lava flow.
Red Road. We then head north out of Kalapana and drive up the enchanting and historic Red Road that navigates the Puna coastline through old lava fields, rugged coastlines with crashing waves breaking over the cliffs and amazing tree canopy of old growth forest.

We then pull into Ahalanui a spring and ocean fed pool that is volcanically heated to a toasty 90 degrees, so bring a bathing suit and towel for a very relaxing experience.

Enjoy your last day in Hawaii on your own. You may choose to reinforce your tan at the beach or spend the afternoon collecting last minute souvenirs. Later this afternoon into the evening, you can attend a Luau held as a farewell for all the tour guests.

Day 10- MAUI
Welcome to Maui. Arrive at Maui, then check in and enjoy the beaches. Please try to arrive before 9:30pm for an important group dinner meeting where we'll meet with our Tour Guide and other group members.

Today morning, after breakfast we explore the Iao Valley State Park. We explore the towering peaks that guard the lush valley floor of Iao Valley State Park.

Located in Central Maui just west of Wailuku, this peaceful 4,000-acre, 10-mile long park is home to one of Maui's most recognizable landmarks, the 1,200-foot Iao Needle. This iconic green-mantled rock outcropping overlooks Iao stream.

After launch, we head to Lahaina side of Maui. We also visit Kaanapali Beach that was once named America’s Best Beach, with three miles of white sand and crystal clear water. If conditions permit, we have some snorkeling on Black Rock.

Today morning, after breakfast we explore the Haleakala National Park. On our way, we enjoy the scenery by stopping at places like the town of Paia, Hookipa Beach (famous for windsurfing), the plethora of waterfalls & hikesfrom the road, Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, Red Sand Beach, Hamoa Beach, and the famous Oheo Gulch aka 7 Sacred Pools.

Stretching across Maui’s southern and eastern coastline, Haleakala National Park is home to Maui's highest peak. Rising 10,023 feet above sea level, Haleakala's graceful slopes can be seen from just about any point on the island. Haleakala means "house of the sun" in Hawaiian.

Today morning, after breakfast we explore the Hana. You can spend the evening at your leisure.
On a trip to Hana, you experience a nature safari through Maui's lush and beautiful rainforest. You journey the breathtaking road to the secluded seaside village of Hana. Around each comer you will discover a new and exciting world of tropical beauty. This tropical rainforest is alive with fragrant island flowers, trees ripe with fruits, layers of dense green foliage and singing exotic birds. Overlook the breathtaking views of the clear turquoise Pacific, dotted with underwater coral, expanding as far as the eye can see until it meets the equally clear blue sky. Lunch in Hana, then you're off again.

Along Maui's rugged eastern coastline is the peaceful town of Hana, considered one of the last unspoiled Hawaiian frontiers. The legendary road to Hana is only 52 miles from Kahului, however the drive can take anywhere from two to four hours to complete since it's fraught with narrow one-lane bridges, hairpin turns and incredible island views. The Hana Highway (HI-360) has 620 curves and 59 bridges. The road leads you through flourishing rainforests, flowing waterfalls, plunging pools and dramatic seascapes.

Today morning, after breakfast we explore the beaches on Kihei, in particular Big & Little Beach in Makena. At Makena, we may have some snorkeling followed by visiting the lava fields.

For those interested in an unforgettable sunrise experience, we have a guided tour for hiking to the summit of Haleakala mountain. We leave our hotel early morning to get to the peak of Haleakala mountain on time. While traveling atop the highest peaks of Haleakala, hiking above the clouds and passing by across otherworldly deserts, you can see lush tropical areas full of waterfalls and streams. The peak of Haleakala is the best spot to watch the sunrise. On a clear morning, seeing the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala is an unforgettable experience.
